Sarah and Daniel are soon to be married and I have the pleasure of photographing the wedding and also being the father of the groom.

Good day at the Village Hotel Bury for the Tower FM wedding fayre.  Very busy and lots of brides and grooms to talk with.

My son was searching the web for a photograph of a rose for a project. So I madly suggested he buy a rose and I would photograph it, thinking he probably wouldn’t.  Well he did – here is the result from an impromptu shoot.  (web colour may be a little off).

Entered The Societies International 20″x16″ Print Competition for the first time and won Gold.

The photograph was taken late last year while travelling in Italy.  It is in the beautiful Val d’Orcia near San Quirico in Tuscany.  Taken at sunrise at the beginning of November.  The colours of the fields and tress being lit by the sun as it burns through the mist is to me quite magical.  

An excited daughter opening birthday presents today.

Had a great day at Samlesbury Hall Wedding fayre. Lots of people and many good conversations. Now in Birmingham for the Focus Photography show at the NEC.

Hopefully good opportunity for so landscape photography.  Must be about seven years since the last time.  Hope to get  down to Loch Etive too.

Spent last weekend with a bunch of photographers and models.  Play time with posing lighting composition and more.  Here is are a couple of images. 

This is the beautiful Vivienne photographed with window light and a touch of fill flash.   

As a further bit of fun we had a challenge to re-create a hollywood style photograph in the style of George Hurrell.
